Kelsey's Birthday and At Last, A Glance of Spirit Week

Well, I just got home from my friend, Kelsey's sweet 16 party. It was very laid back and fun. There were about 9 of us girls and we danced, ate pizza, baked cookies, watched movies and just goofed off. Three of us stayed the night (Beth, Hallie(pronounced Haley), and Myself). There were a few pictures taken, but my friends took them and so I have to wait for them to be uploaded before I can show you. In the meantime I am going to post some of the spirit week pictures I promised.

Twin Day!!!

Kelsey (left), and Me! I really like this picture!

Kels and I again, only she is obviously on the right this time!

Beth (left), and Hallie! They are so adorable!

Beth and Hallie again. This one was their favorite! Kelsey and I just can't believe how much they favor!

The Bonfire!!

We didn't get any pictures of Celebrity or Disney Character Day, or Purple and Gold Day. But in case you are dying to know, I was Rachel Ray, Minnie Mouse, and On Friday I wore my Homecoming 09 T-Shirt. We took pictures on Hillbilly Day, but Hallie has them and so I'm waiting for her to upload.

I Read Kingdom Twindom... AND YOU SHOULD TOO!

Kingdom Twindom was the very first blog that I read! I am posting about it because, not only is there something cool that might be in it for me, but I have wanted to write about it in detail since I started my blog and I just haven't yet. I feel that this Holiday Opportunity is a great chance for me to finally write about my favorite blog and, more importantly, the wonderful family it is centered around.

Kingdom Twindom was my inspiration for starting my own blog. I came across it completely on accident while browsing youtube for videos a subject for something educational. I hadn't been able to find anything at school, so I decided to try youtube(which is blocked at school) on my home computer. I was looking for videos of multiple children. I came across the video 'Happy Birthday Grandmama'. They were the cutest kids! I just had to click the link in the description! I read the entire blog. I was so inspired by Mrs. Sarah's blog that I just had to start one of my own. I have been blogging since July. Every time I log into blogger, I immediately check Kingdom Twindom for any new posts or contests.

I have fallen in love with the beautiful Valente family. Kingdom Mama and Papa Bear seem to have their hands full at first when you see that they have five small children under the age of five. Tiny Dancer, Cuddle Bug, Little Prince, Bay Bit, and Baby Bear are five of the most adorable kids I have ever seen! I love reading about their art projects, obedience lessons, how they love God and continue to learn about Him... Oh, And I just LOVE Kidterview Tuesday!

Kingdom Mama and Papa Bear also do a beautful thing for people who are married. Maybe you are having trouble in your relationship? You can e-mail Mrs. Sarah and she will share her God-given wisdom with you.

Papa Bear sometimes posts on the blog.

Or maybe you need a new recipe? On fridays, Kingdom Mama posts about a food she has made recently.

One of my favorite things about Kingdom Twindom is Scribe Scuffle. It's this really fun game where Kingdom Mama gives a vocabulry word and you have to do a post squeezing that word in as many times as you can! I play, and I've won twice! You get really cool prizes!

My very favorite thing about Kingdom Twindom is that it is real. This is a real, down-to-earth, God-loving family. You can see their care and personalities through the posts. It is absolutely amazing.

Thank You, Mrs. Sarah, for being not only a blogger, but a friend.

Happy Holidays.

He's headed back to Florida until Savannah's birthday.
She will be 6 November 3rd.

Not much to post about today.
Tabetha is here. We are going to Walmart and the library later.

I got some pictures of Krabby Patty out of the shell.
I'll put them up later.

Hope everyone has a blessed day!

Growing Up

My little sissy is growing up!

She dressed herself! And it matched!

There's that 'sweet and innocent' face...

When is too young to decide to be a mom?

She'll always be my baby sister. And there's nothing she can do about it!

Krabby Patty

So my daddy brought home a new pet for us.

Krabby Patty will come out, but I guess it didn't want to be photographed at this particular moment. I'll get you some better pictures as soon as I can.

We haven't figured out if it's a boy or a girl. If we ever do, I'll let you know.

Hope you liked the pictures!

National Miscarriage and Infant Loss Day.

Today is National Miscarriage and Infant Loss day.

Many bloggers I have come across have suffered great deals of pain with losing children. I also know quite a few people-including my mom-who have had miscarriages or lost their babies.

Please pray for these people and their families on this day of remembering their children.

This is a very heartbreaking thing here on earth, and while it is very hard, we must also remember that the kids are with the Savior.

Daddy's Home!

Hooray!

My dad is home for the weekend from the Florida jobsite!!

and he brought a Hermit Crab for us!!!!

Savannah named it Krabby Patty!!!!!!

Pics later?!?!

Pray for Alexis

A third grader at the elementary school that my little sister attends was recently diagnosed with Lymphoma.

Lymphoma is a type of cancer.

I don't know much about Alexis' situation, but I do know that she is currently at Pitt Memorial Hospital here in NC.

Please join the cirlce of love surrounding this child by praying for her.

Thank You.

Thank you for watching them grow up to be independent little fluffballs with me!

A Night At The Fair!!!

So Wednesday night we went to the fair!

Savannah and Mekenzie were thrilled!

I rode the Dizzy Dragons with them.

Then we parted ways, and when we met back up at the end of the night, took just a few more pictures!

That last one is of our whole group, besides Mekenzie's dad, Jay. My dad will be home this coming Wednesday. I am so excited!

While at the fair, I was allowed to walk away from my mom with a trusted friend, Brandyn. He and I rode some of the bigger stuff the little girls couldn't get on. We rode The Claw (my first upside down ride! I loved it!), The Vertigo(very tall swings), Pharoah's Fury (one of those big boats that swings), and then Savannah rode the Ferris Wheel with us and I took this last pic from the very top!

Praying for Elena. (Please Read This Post)

Originally, I was going to post about our trip to the fair.
I still will, but I wanted to share this urgent prayer request with you.

I recieved this e-mail in my inbox tonight.

Hello,

My name is Elena, I have 32 years and I live in Russian province. I work in library and I can use computer after my work when possible. I finded your address in internet and I decided to write you this letter.

I have a 8-years old daughter Angelina, her father abandoned us and we live with my mother.

Due to the financial crisis recently my mother lost job and our situation became very difficult.

The prices for gas and electricity is very high in our region and we cannot use it to heat our home anymore.

The winter is coming and weather becoming colder each day. We are very afraid and we don't know what to do.

The only accessible way for us to heat our home is to use a portable oven which work with burning wood. We have enough wood in our region and this oven will heat our home all winter for minimal charges.

Unfortunately, we cannot buy this oven in our city because it costs equivalent of 285 US dollars and very expensive for us.

If you have any old portable oven and in case you don't use it anymore, we will be very grateful to you if you can donate it to us and organize transport of this oven to our address (200km from Moscow). This ovens are different, usually they made from cast iron.

I will be waiting for your answer.

With deep respect from Russia,
Elena and my family.

Elena and her family really need the oven so that they can be warm this winter.

I don't know how she found me, but she is definately going on the Praying Mantis list.

By the way, the Praying Mantis button now links to a special prayer request blog.
I created it to make things easier to comprehend.

Please Pray for Elena. You can reach her at: elenaga@yumail.ru

H1N1

The H1N1 virus has attacked my city.
Numerous cases have been found in my school alone.
Please pray that I don't catch it and that Savannah doesn't catch it.
More importantly, please pray that my teacher, Mr. Wells (US HISTORY HONORS), doesn't catch it, because if his 5 month old little girl, Addison, gets it, things could go terribly bad..

On a happier note, stay tuned for my post on last night's trip to the fair.

Music Monday #1- You Belong With Me

This is my first Music Monday post.
Music Monday is hosted by Keeping Up With The Kellys.
Check out the blog via the button on my sidebar.

Today I chose my current favorite song, You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift.
This song is the story of the dorky teenaged girl who just *knows* her crush is with the wrong girl. This girl has been there for her crush for the longest time but somehow he still can't see that she loves him and she can't see that he loves her. It's a cute little story in a song. Scroll down and pause my playlist and check out the video below.

Visit from Dalton!!!!

Hey guys, Dalton here.
I'm eating so I can gain some weight.
I am currently 8.9 pounds.
3 pounds and 7 ounces to go!!!!

Want to know who is getting this crazy expression from me?
It's my crazy cousin.
She won't stop taking pictures.

This is her sister, holding me on the pillow.
She's crazy too, but not half as bad as Stormy!

Don't ask me.
I don't know what the heck she's thinking.

Oh great, the camera is still here.
While Savannah is cheesin it, I'm gonna get back to my bottle.

Oh, yeah. I really appreciate your prayers, please don't stop prayin for me!
Nice chatting with ya!
Catch you guys later!

Off to a Busy Sunday

Yep.
Busy Busy Busy Bodies.
Tabetha, Teresa, Momma, Savannah, me, maybe Wesley....
We are off to WalMart, then to Teresa's so that she can show me everything I need to know about her cat (I'm catsitting while she goes to Kansas for a funeral, please pray). Then to my grandma's for lunch. Probably somewhere else, too.
It's going to be a busy day!
I'll post when I get home!

Love and Blessings

Queen of the Fair

Last night I went to the fair.
I didn't ride anything, I just went to watch the 09-10 Queen of the Fair Pageant.
My friend, Anna, was in it. There was also another girl from our school, so a lot of us Rosewood folk were there to cheer them on!
The host of the pageant called us out a few times for being very supportive! It was so great!
Both of the girls did very well and looked amazing in all of their outfits.
Unfortunately, neither of them won, but the girl who did desrved it.
There aren't any pictures, sorry.
I did want to share this, though, so that I will never forget it.
This was the first pageant I have ever been to.

I am going to the Fair again Wednesday night with Beth and Kelsey and my family to ride the rides. I will take pictures then.

Love and Blessings

So, It's Thursday?

AND I HAVEN'T BLOGGED ALL WEEK?!?!?!?

You're kidding, right?
No, you're not.
Dern.
That means I've missed Kitten Update Day (which, by the way, is almost over), telling about church this week, Dalton updates, school updates, EVERYTHING I COULD'VE TALKED ABOUT ALL WEEK!!!

Ok.
Ready for my excuse?
Studying.
Chemistry.
I'm doing great in everything else, and my Chem grade is good, but not my usual A+.
It's an A for now, but that's because I study A LOT. And Aunt Linda tells me that the class gets harder, so please pray for me, or else I'm doomed.

Anywhooo...

Kitten Update.
No pictures, sorry.
There will be pictures before the kittens leave, though.
I promise.
They are doing great!
All four of them are thriving!
I hope they all get good homes.

Church this week.
Well, I didn't make it on Sunday, because I didn't feel good, but I did go through Psalm 139, which is my favorite capter so far.
Last night, at Encounter Student Ministries (our youth group, over 100 teens!!), at our usual Wednesday service, we talked about The Art of Worship. It's a series Pastor Jared is doing. I love it. It's really teaching us what worship really is and how not to get distracted or make it routine.
I paid for the Real Deal Weekend Trip that ESM is participating in at Myrtle Beach this November. I'll post A LOT about that when we get back from it!

Dalton.
Did not have to be hospitalized yet, but still isn't 12 pounds, so please keep praying!
He is coming for a visit this coming Sunday, so there will be pics of little man!

School.
I covered the grades in my excuse, haha.
I am in two clubs.
FFA-Future Farmers of America (no, I don't want to be a farmer, but it's fun!)
FTA-Future Teachers of America (yes, I do want to be a teacher, 2nd Grade!)
I'm also in Show Choir, which I've been doing since 7th grade.
That's about it for now.

THE FAIR IS HERE!!!
The Wayne Regional Agricultural Fair has arrived!
Tomorrow is the Queen of the Fair Pageant, and I am going!
My friend, Anna, is competing.
Some friends and I are going to hang out and ride rides.
I'm going beck Wednesday with the family.
Savannah and Mekenzie might do the Talent Show with their Kindergarten and Third Grade classes, and if they do, I'll put up videos.

That's all for now.
Waiting for the Scribe Scuffle word.

Love and Blessings!
Stormy
